Today we celebrate an important event for Russia – the anniversary of the creation of the LDPR. A landmark moment in the history of the country. 35 years ago, the more than 70-year-old political monopoly of the communists was destroyed. On December 13, 1989, the first opposition party appeared. And we remain it – the first opposition political force capable of providing non-standard solutions for the benefit of Russia.
We are celebrating this anniversary with a large-scale exhibition and many events throughout the country, striving to share the joy with millions of Russians who support the LDPR. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who supports the ideas of the great Zhirinovsky, who all these years stood shoulder to shoulder for the sake of the country.
The LDPR is a party created by the people and for the people, which determines its success in the elections both to the first State Duma and in subsequent years. In 2024, we elected more than 1,000 deputies, beating all other opposition parties. We are a party that knows where we are, who we are, and how to act to achieve results.
What would I see as the overall result of the LDPR in 10 years, by 2034? After all, without defining a forecast of the result, it is impossible to propose ways to achieve it.
We need to systematically increase representation to 7,000 deputies, actively interact with citizens, and involve at least 30 million people in the party’s work annually.
We must constantly improve our work methods and learn together with people. From 2025, we will begin reforming the University of World Civilizations, which will become a center for strategic forecasting and training of party personnel. The LDPR has always responded flexibly to the changes that have occurred in the country, and has always been able to defend the interests of the people.
We will also create an open personnel reserve for active fellow party members, from which lists for elections will be formed. It is important that the LDPR remains active not only at the federal level, but also at the regional level, developing mechanisms for the development and promotion of legislative initiatives.
All these tasks require the introduction of advanced tools and the formation of highly professional personnel. We have already begun to move towards these goals. Over the past two years, the party has changed, while maintaining the principles laid down by its Founder. The LDPR was, is and will be Zhirinovsky’s party. New projects and a strong team bring results, and we are confident in our future! Our large family is growing stronger day by day.
