Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky held a meeting with Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Yousef Al-Sharif, who is in Moscow on a three-day visit.
The parties discussed the situation in Sudan, the possibilities for developing bilateral cooperation and, in general, Russia’s interaction with the countries of the African continent, including taking into account the parliamentary component. Leonid Slutsky confirmed the position aimed at promoting the earliest possible achievement of peace in Sudan and launching a national dialogue without destructive interference from outside.
The focus was also on current issues on the international and regional agenda.
First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs Alexey Chepa took part in the meeting from the Russian side.
