Today marks the Day of the Defeat of the Nazi German Forces by Soviet Troops in the Battle of Stalingrad

A turning point not only in the Great Patriotic War, but also in the entire Second World War. 200 heroic days and nights that have gone down in history.

The heroism of the soldiers who defended Pavlov’s House for two months, the endless oncoming battles for the Stalingrad railway station and Mamayev Kurgan—all this is the living memory of our people. These blood-soaked memorial sites have become symbols of courage, fortitude, and heroism remembered and known throughout the world.

This hard-won victory, won by sheer force of will, shattered the legend of Nazi invincibility. On the banks of Mother Volga, the strategic initiative forever passed to the Red Army. It was a battle with all of Europe. The Russian soldier in Stalingrad fought against Hitler and his numerous allies, who meekly served Nazism with weapons, factories, resources, and soldiers.

The LDPR remembers and honors the heroism of our people in that fierce battle. Our party members visited cemeteries and memorial sites dedicated to the Battle of Stalingrad and helped restore them to order where needed.

Glory to the Russian soldier who did not surrender, stood firm, and won!
