We know there are no unbelievers in the trenches

Yesterday, the State Duma hosted the Christmas Readings.

Two years ago, at similar readings, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’ called for the mobilization of parishioners, clergy, and the entire Russian Orthodox Church to collect aid for the participants of the SVO: “Look for opportunities, collect money, send parcels, if possible, go yourself, support the servicemen.”

His words directly followed the message of Metropolitan Sergius (Stragorodsky) of Moscow and Kolomna, the future Patriarch, who on June 22, 1941, called on Orthodox Russian people to “serve the Fatherland in this difficult hour of trial with everything that each can do” in order to “disperse the fascist enemy force into dust.”

The Orthodox Church has always stood guard over our state and the people from foreign attacks together with the Russian army.

Today, the sermon of the Russian Patriarch is not only support for our fighters on the front lines, but also becomes a moral guide for people all over the world. The spirituality and Orthodox faith of the Russian people preserve traditional universal values, oppose artificial fakes and ugly perversions of Western globalists, alien to human nature itself.

People all over the world see this. More and more countries are coming to an understanding of the need to build a strong multipolar world with equal guarantees of security and rights for all civilizations of the planet.

With God’s help, on the anniversary of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, we will gain the upper hand in this titanic and principled struggle. And how then will the contribution of the Russian Orthodox Church to the fight against the enemy be appreciated by the people and the authorities.

In the near future, we will also have to unite in the task of returning our fighters to peaceful life. Our Russian Orthodox Church, with its vast experience in serving people, can become one of the pillars of this large-scale work. As is well known, there are no atheists in the trenches, and the faith that supported our soldiers in battle should help in the family, in everyday life, at work and in new peaceful habits.

Our party is holding the All-Russian Forum “Shoulder to Shoulder. For Russian Victory!” at the end of February. We invite everyone to join this event and support the soldiers of the special military operation and their families in the name of peace on Russian soil and throughout the world.

We are Russians! God is with us!
