We visited the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea with a delegation from the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
For Russia, the DPRK has always been a strategic partner, and now our friendship is cemented by a brotherhood in arms, just as it was back in 1945. The Russian people will never forget the heroism of the DPRK military in the Kursk region. It is also symbolic that the Korean unit participating in the Special Military Operations (SVO) marched under two flags—Russian and North Korean—at the ceremonial parade in Pyongyang.
In the near future, we will organize monthly consultations with representatives from Pyongyang via videoconference, and we will regularly exchange visits between parliamentary and party delegations. I am confident that, following the example of our leaders, we will achieve maximum mutual understanding and effective work in all areas: interregional relations, politics, economics, culture, and other spheres. We will also soon open a DPRK cultural center in Moscow. Our plans extend to years to come.
We will thoroughly and intensively develop North Korean discourse. I am confident that our countries have a great future in their inseparable cooperation.
We thank our colleagues from the DPRK for the warm and hospitable welcome!
