It is necessary to accelerate the development of the infrastructure of the Far East

The LDPR team continues to work in the Far East, in Blagoveshchensk. China is visible just across the river. We also visited the bridge over the Amur, which connects the city with the Middle Kingdom.

Over the past two years, economic relations with China and other Eastern countries have grown several times. The Blagoveshchensk-Heihe bridge also plays an important role here. In 2023, the cargo turnover of the Blagoveshchensk – Heihe bridge amounted to 550 thousand tons and increased by 2.6 times.

At the Kani-Kurgan checkpoint there will be 12 lanes for freight transport and 4 inspection lanes for passengers. The processing of all documents will be organized in one building, creating comfortable conditions for both truck drivers and tourists to cross the border.

We talked with the construction team and the facility management. The checkpoint project, which involves the improvement of more than 60 thousand square meters of territory, may become standard for other border crossing points. We discussed the work of the customs service. Currently, cargo inspection is carried out by 100 specialists who work around the clock, accepting and sending vehicles with goods.
