This is a very important dialogue because it is not only symbolic but also details the specific issues that exist between Russia and the European Union. We have begun what could develop into a fruitful and extensive format. And this, given the overall situation in relations between the European Union and Russia, truly opens up good prospects.
Kartheiser also expressed hope for more MEPs to participate in the dialogue with Russia.
We know that many of our colleagues are interested, but they are under tremendous pressure within European institutions. Therefore, I am very grateful to each of those who decided to join our group and showed courage and determination. I thank everyone who participated.
