At a meeting in honor of the 35th anniversary of the first congress of the LDPR, activists of the LDPR Youth Organization talked with Leonid Slutsky and the president of the Russian Book Union Sergei Stepashin.
Sergei Vadimovich shared his unique experience: he has years of work in government leadership positions behind him. He was a deputy, headed the Government, the Accounts Chamber, the Federal Counterintelligence Service, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB of Russia.
Together with Leonid Slutsky, they recalled the most striking events in the history of the country and the formation of the LDPR.
“The concept of the “Russian world” was brought to politics by Vladimir Volfovich. For the Soviet Union, this was a look forward, seriously ahead of its time. And we see how relevant this is to this day, how this idea has become understandable and accepted by the majority of our population,” emphasized Sergey Stepashin.
Young people were more interested in political stories since the collapse of the USSR and the ideas of Vladimir Zhirinovsky. The activists also asked how the younger generation can participate in shaping the future of the country.
The LDPR Chairman gave several pieces of advice, the main one being “Don’t lie and don’t be afraid!”
“Talented, creative, the best Russian youth in the world are joining the LDPR today as the most effective party that gives a young person the opportunity to grow up quickly, expand their potential, and then find themselves in politics, business — anywhere where their abilities will be realized. We are optimistic about the future,” said Leonid Slutsky.
As a token of gratitude for the sincere stories and advice, the activists, together with Leonid Slutsky, presented Sergei Stepashin with a T-shirt with the LDPR symbols as a keepsake.
