The International Forum “Great Heritage – Common Future”, unprecedented in its scale, has ended in Volgograd

The initiator was the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State.

Representatives of almost 20 countries gathered in the historical place where the Red Army broke the back of the Nazi hydra in 1943 during the most difficult and bloody battles. From the near abroad, Europe and Asia. Those who do not need the approval of the “big brother” came. Those who remember the lessons of the past.

Without respect for the past, there is no future. We are obliged to preserve the historical truth about the Great Victory. We, the heirs of the victors, will not allow the descendants of those defeated in 1945 to revive Nazism.

The powerful speeches of the leaders of Russia and Belarus became the culmination of the forum. Its leitmotif was two words – memory and truth. Memory and truth about the bloodiest war in the history of mankind and the Soviet soldiers-liberators. The defeat of Nazism is the common heritage of Russia and the republics of the former Soviet Union, Vladimir Putin especially noted.

Today, on the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, Moscow and Minsk, the entire sane world majority are united in the desire to preserve and protect the truth about the Second World War and its heroes. For the sake of peace and the future of humanity!
