The State Duma called on the UN and the parliaments of the world to make every possible effort to end the war in the Middle East and return the parties to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict to the negotiating table. Urgent measures are needed to stop the bloodshed and violence against civilians, as well as to prevent an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
The Arab-Israeli confrontation risks going far beyond the Middle East region. The disproportionate use of force on both sides has already led to the death of several thousand people. The recent attack on Al-Ahly hospital in the Gaza Strip alone killed hundreds of people. Who is to blame for this? Including the collective West, led by the USA! Washington takes an irresponsible and one-sided position, supporting Israel exclusively. This policy prevents the end of the Middle East conflict and only fuels the fire of war.
Deputies unanimously adopted an appeal to the UN and national parliaments, which condemned violations of international humanitarian law in zone of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. All perpetrators of war crimes must be brought to justice and receive the harshest punishment!
