The year of celebrations for the 80th birthday of Vladimir Volfovich Zhirinovsky, founder of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), has officially begun!

Thanks to the joint efforts of the LDPR, the Vladimir Zhirinovsky Memorial and Heritage Foundation, the Russian Ministry of Culture, and Rosconcert, the anniversary year began with a vibrant and talented performance—with a grand concert, “Zhirinovsky. The Beginning,” at the State Academic Maly Theater of Russia.

Soloists and the Tchaikovsky State Academic Bolshoi Symphony Orchestra performed works by great Russian composers. These works became part of the story of Vladimir Zhirinovsky’s life, and biographical texts were read from the stage by Vladimir Volfovich’s daughter, Anastasia Botsan-Kharchenko, who manages the Memorial and Heritage Foundation.

Vladimir Volfovich is one of the most prominent statesmen and thinkers in the modern history of great Russia. A man of global stature, who, even during his lifetime, etched his name in the history of world politics and international relations in golden letters. He was a man who, through the power of his intellect, could peer into the future. Without being some kind of fortune teller or psychic, he truly knew how to see the future. And his predictions continue to come true.

“Zhirinovsky. The Beginning” is only the first of many events dedicated to the 80th birthday of the Founder of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia. We will do everything possible to ensure that the anniversary celebrations are global in scope, and that the memory of Vladimir Volfovich lives on forever!
